Indeed, it's been obeying the pivots to a T this evening. Fell straight to the daily from the 17:00 open, then a rally to the midpoint, several unsuccessful tests, then fell back to the daily from whence it came, only to find buyers yet again.

The confirmation to go long will have little, if anything, to do with charts/TA and much more to do with comments from the RBNZ on Wed's interest rate statement (and also comments from Bernanke tomorrow). Quite a bit of FA underway the next 24 ...

The entire architecture of the system was explained to me during an hour-long discussion of the various ECNs with one of the PBs. This is what I gathered from it. There are multiple Currenex hubs ("six primary" & an unknown number of secondary), ...

Yes, on the daily chart. On the lower timeframes, I've found that the true open is not always correctly accounted for. This is especially apparent on Wednesdays at 17:00 ET, when we would expect a lower open due to the 3x swap. The 1M - 1H charts ...

Seconded. To kreeper, You have made your case before. There was no need in disrespecting someone else's work by publicly posting it when that person specifically requested it no longer be public. Now let's all get back to trading.

That's correct for calculating the S/R levels and daily pivot, but the daily central is simply the opening price at 17:00 ET.

Interesting. I had a hunch the guy on the phone didn't have the full story straight. $250k min is the going rate at some prime brokers, Vcap for one. ATC and ADMD are much lower.

Yes but how often does the 1-min close below the 8 EMA and then retrace? Too often to be of much value, you'd be heavily whipsawed.

Interesting. To calculate these trend triggers, which of the following of your charts do you use: the 3, 5, 10, 20, 30 minutes, the 1 hour, or the 2 hour? Or some combination thereof? Do you wait for the LR-MA crossover to occur on one time-period, ...

You shorted 6 pips shy of the high (116.46) and covered 3 pips shy of the low (114.82)...? That's incredible.. though I'm a bit skeptical.... Since neither of those two levels coincided with S/R pivots nor 50% midpoints, what gave you the entry/exit ...
