Hope you guys didn't get in too heavy on the short side. This is why I felt neutral was safest pre-Fed, you can't throw out the off-chance that they completely crucify the already dying dollar. This and the TIC data, wow, USDX new all-time lows by ...

If you used a higher yielding pair, say GBP/JPY, theoretically this would work, if only there were no spreads.
You could go long GBP/JPY on Oanda at 17:01 ET and go short the same amount on a different broker (that does a traditional 17:00 ...Is this CNY futures hedge trading strategy possible?

I'm out but not short. I'm not sure where the crosses will go after tomorrow's Fed news and would prefer to take action thereafter. I think G/U (and by extension G/J) are oversold on the Northern Rock news, and stand to make the strongest comeback ...

??? I'm showing the daily close at .8385.. In any event, some minor overhead resistance at 8415 with the 61.8 fib and 50-day sma. That's the close you'd want to be looking for. Uptrend is still very strong.

I'm surprised no one has yet mentioned Hotspot FXi. Its sub-pip spreads are much tighter than anything I've seen on Currenex. Currenex definitely has it beat in terms of liquidity, but FXi is catching up fast in that department.

I agree. I think we'll see another test of the 50% fib/97 level on A/J in the next day or two, at which point I'll be looking to exit. I think the best strategy thereafter may be to keep A/U long and short U/J. The decoupling of dollar weakness from ...

I'm only familiar with Currenex and HS FXi (the top two liquidity-wise outside of the EBS world). There are many other smaller ECNs that I do not have experience with (FXAll, Baxter, LavaFX, eSpeedFX etc). I also have serious doubts about Currenex ...
