I think you're misinterpreting the charts. They clearly show that the retail holders at Oanda are heavily long, mostly from much higher prices (heavily underwater), and have open orders to sell their positions upwards of 1400 pips higher from ...

Exactly. Trading solely based upon a simple indicator like a SMA will lead your account to 0 before you know it.

Why would you ever hold a position down 100 pips let alone 1000 pips? There is something wrong with your stop loss strategy. Also, holding carry positions for the minor pips each day is referred to as "picking up pennies in front of steamroller" for ...

The lack of liquidity in futures is a falsehood (from a trader's perspective). Institutions automatically arb the futures market so any spot/futures differentials rarely exist. I've had 100 lot limit orders execute in the overnight market when the ...

I can. Oftentimes put an order to buy in 0.5 pip above the bid, sometimes get filled, other times get filled at 0.5 below my limit (price improvement). Other times, don't get filled at all. All depends if there's a seller at my price and how active ...

100:1 at MBT/EFX and TS. 50:1 at IB on majors. 25:1 on crosses. This is also important, at IB those margin levels are the initial and maintenance levels. Meaning if you put a trade on at 50:1, and it starts to go against you, IB will start stopping ...

They're usually the same for the euro and yen (1 pip on both spot & futures), and roughly the same on the aussie, pound, and cad during market hours. Right now in the pre-Asian session, yen and euro futures are both 1 pip, but pound/aussie/cad are ...

Commissions are 2.5x higher at MBT than at IB and TS. I trade with IB and speak highly of their spreads, platform, feed, etc. Margin on cross-rates (25:1) and lack of NZD are a hindrance though.

MBT is $5 per $100,000 per side, so I'm not sure how you came up with $2 round trip. The spread at IB is 3-4 pips. Commission are less than half of MBT's ($2 per 100k with a minimum of $2.50). You'll want to stick with an ECN if you're scalping, ...

Where does it say that? Or are you referring to the rollover swap offset? If so, that's a standard practice by all banks & brokers (to apply the swap and extend the 2-day forward settlement).
