Now I'm feeling pretty stupid for not taking my own trade. 100+ pips so far.

If it wasn't Friday — Or options expiration day, I would love this long.

It's going to happen to everyone, but seeing that opportunity and bailing on it before the price jumped nearly 200 pips is making me sick to my stomach.

Thanks guys. I don't know why I completely forgot about the JPY cross sell offs. Pretty stupid since I profited nicely off of GPB/JPY this morning. Well, I'm done for today. I'm not trying to pick a bottom here.

Gold and AUD — Can anyone make sense of this divergence between the Aussie and Gold? Gold is up over $50 today, but AUD/USD is getting hammered. I'm long here around 7830, but I'm not going to hold it for very long.

Not to mention Merrill and AIG. Japan was also on holiday so the liquidity was very thin.

Gustav — This isn't exactly typical of our No Brianer thread, but I think it is vital to understand what is going on in the Gulf of Mexio. image This has been a damn crazy week. For the time being, it would appear that we are in a bit of a ...

Nice call BRV! I'd like your perspective on managing a trade like this where the pair experienced such strong resistance on the way up. No that .7165 area sticks out like a sore thumb for support. Is this a situation where you'd me more tempted to ...

I am just now sticking my toe in the water of the crosses. I'm probably like everyone else, facinated by the profit potential of GBP/JPY. EUR/JPY can be pretty fun too, but it seems to abide by our rules much better from what I've seen. That pair ...

You see that too? If you're looking at a descending triangle on EUR, do you see the opposite on CHF? I know these patterns don't amount to no brainers, but I used the S/R basics learned here to enter these trades in anticipation of these breakouts ...

On a major pair, that would be a great short IMO. I'm not a pro, but I've been able to actually make money now that I've learned this type of trading and this trade here is what's helped me. However, this is the GBP/JPY, and I don't think it really ...

Definitely can seem like a chicken or egg situation. The only times I can say for sure are when either one is dealing with a change in fundamentals (i.e. oil supply/demand or dollar %).

After it failed to rise to 120, after hitting 117 on Wed, I have to agree. Got mighty close to $110 today.

That's how I use it as well. Confirmation of direction. That said, I'm still dying for oil to test $120. It's such a no brainer there (in regards to shorting EUR). I was convinced that it would happen this week.

whew. broke back through 1.8600. Taking some profit (aka liability) off the table and letting the rest run. I sold again near the highs cause I just couldn't believe that Cable and EUR would go up today. Last night Gold sunk like a rock, and oil ...
