yyc196, PFG is one of the firms we work with. The reason we work with them is because the institution that funds our traders has a relationship with PFG and it is really easy to set up a new trader there during their initiation period. We use them ...

bhaskar422, one thing is the reliability of the platform and another thing is the reliability of the broker. A "great" platform from a scummy broker will do you no good. I'm guessing that you're looking for a broker that is fair to its clients and ...

For a minute I thought you were talking about LT's book, since I was talking about getting my wife to read it recently. I was about to send a few of our black belt jujitsu guys to take care of you. LoL.

Hi Stan; I agree with you. I believe in telling by showing. That's why my signature line is what it is. Unfortunately, my current business does not really give me time to trade. I hope this changes next year. At the same time, my wife might be able ...

No, Bruno. The lowest account minimum for a Currenex broker is $25,000. The minimum's are higher for other institutional solutions. I know this sucks, but that's the way it is. One day this will change, but it's the harsh reality right now.

PaleRainbow, I agree with you; but part of maximizing returns is minimizing reasonable costs. Commissions eat into a traders net income no matter how many pips he scalps for. If commissions are minimized, they'll improve the traders bottom line.

Poocher, unless the limit order has a time expiration setting, it's not favorable for scalping. For example, let's say you get a BUY on the EURJPY when the ask is at 163.50. Let's also say that the price is moving so you are willing to get filled as ...

Yes; you are right. It is a pain to trade on one platform and use a different one for charting; but guys here do it all the time when they use Oanda's 5 second charts and MB for execution. ChoiceFX does have a tick chart, but I found that when you ...

Using market orders is a receipe for disaster because you can get screwed when the price gaps. That's why you see all these threads on the forums of people complaining. If you don't have one-click execution on limits or fill-or-kills, then it won't ...

You are right, Ron; EFX is mega expensive and will eat up all or most of your profits on scalps of 2 pips or less. The reason you're experiencing what you mention on Oanda is because, no matter how you slice it, they are a market maker. Memorize ...

Jim, what would you say your monthly turnover (in millions) is? This makes a big difference depending on where you trade. I know you can cut your rate maybe in half with better spreads than PFG's hub; not at PFG though.

Not only that, but you simply cannot scalp with a dealing desk broker because they're taking the other side of your trade. Don't even try this with Forex.com or you'll be wasting your time. We only use an institutional liquidity solution, like ...

There are no others for this account size. All the othe firms are more institutional in nature; e.g., Currenex, HotSpotFxi, Lava, Baxter, etc. The minimum account size for some of these is $25,000 USD and you won't have charting capability.
