Hello MPP, thank you for pointing that thread. I had read Jacko's ideas and I agree with some of his points, especially as far as trading in the direction of the trend, the round numbers and the 50% fib (my favorite one too). I dont agree with him ...

Hmmm yeah simplicity is good but it's got to have some common sense built into it too. I cannot see that common sense in that strategy. Can anyone more familiar with it please elaborate further?

I dont really see the logic behind this strategy. If your stoploss (the "point of no return" from a technical point of view under which you want to be in that market no longer) is actually hit, why would you want to re-enter again at that very same ...

GBPUSD broke on friday of the Daily chart triangle in the direction of the weekly chart's up-channel. I will seek for longs upon the first pullback.

I use a fixed % of risk per trade and only enter trades with a possitive risk/reward ratio. I also usually scale out of a trade in two steps, moving stop to breakeven as the first target is met.

I tried this same idea and it didnt work. I just couldnt find the right people and it turned out to be a very frustrating experience altogether. Either they were not commited enough, or not disciplined enough, or God knows what. I wish you better ...

I enjoyed reading the last post of your blog where you explain in detail why and in which fashion your system (Grail) stopped working when market conditions changed. It's an interesting read.

Regarding the scaling out discussion, whenever I enter off a pullback in a trend I like to scale half of my position out few pips before reaching the previous swing high in case the chart unfolds as a double top/bottom.

I think I read somewhere in a previous post that the LT Rainbow strategy is best used only during the first two hours upon London and NY open. Is this correct?

So many Trading Rooms are confusing me and Im posting the same pics in wrong places. Anyway, GBPCHF 4H with a clear downtrend and a clear double bottom support at 2.3500. I will seek for shorts if that level gives way to the downside.

GBPCHF 4H Downtrend with a double bottom at 2.3500. If that level breaks to the downside it could be a nice short opportunity. If the down trendline gives way, the setup will be void.

Trying to pick a top in such a solid uptrend is like trying to catch a falling knife: if you mess up, off goes your finger. Moral of the story: trend saying up > stochastic saying overbought. Guys, stochastics are just a mathematical formula, that's ...
