If I were Fed Chairman, I would short all the bank / mortgage broker stocks, raise the rates by 1%, move to Switzerland and park all of my earnings into the Euro.

I was thinking the same thing. If the Fed cuts by 25 bps, imvho, I think the market is going to go ape shit on Bernanke's rear end.
