Just profit taking from those who are up 80 pips after they got in at the 8760 silly-not-to-buy-here level.. too bad we're not part of that group.

8825.. I have a funny feeling we will rally from here for the next 12 hours, Aussie 8925 by noon. Nikkei came back 200 points. The euro is unscathed, the pound is coming back, AJ bullish engulfing on the hourly, USD/CHF is unstoppable, USD/CAD ...

Anyone else here a buyer at a potential 8750 re-visit? I backed up the truck last Monday when we touched that level (though I had to chase it for a hundred pips.. it took off like a rocket). 8750 is a dual fib zone, 10/22 low, 11/12 low. It should ...

MT4 > ECN bridges like the one described above exist and are described in this thread. The caveat is that the system (MT4) still relies upon data from the dealing desk. The ECN would be used for execution only. Since ECN data is far more faster and ...
Any ECN that supports MT4 ?
- Trader KGB replied Nov 17, 2007
You hit the nail on the head. Gain Capital recently switched to a similar model. They began offering sub-pip pricing and charging commissions ($25/MM), however, they are not an ECN (nor have they have claimed to be). Instead, they're a hybrid ...

As Agro mentioned, you'll want to use 5PM EST as the opening candle for your pivot calculations. That is the official start/end of the daily FX session. If you're using MT4, be aware that the majority of brokers due not adhere to this standard with ...

It probably varies from ECN to ECN, but I completely agree, 0.9pip spread for a "no-commission" trade simply cannot be beat.

Interbank is often 0.5pip these days on EUR/USD. Oanda doesn't have to hedge all client orders in-house. They can offset in the interbank and profit the differential. Even if they did take the opposite of all client orders, they'd profit ...

Why not go with an ECN, 0-1 pip spreads, and forget "rebates" altogether?

USDCAD trend reversal?

That's probably the only way unfortunately. There are many great portfolio backtesting platforms, but none that I'm familiar with that will inter-operate with MT4. The ET forums have hundreds of threads on these various platforms, so I'd search ...

Similar thing happened on 10/22. A big weekend gap down marked the low, was a huge buying opportunity, yes the one I didn't take (the ultimate low wasn't hit until 6am est the following Monday, I have better alerts in place now). A gap down is a gap ...
