I personally don't like hedging, I think it simply postpones the problem solving to a later date. Dear HockMan, you need to decide if your view of long USD is correct, otherwise you would have to cut losses at some point. If you are 100% confident ...

With the USD throwing a tantrum today, nothing is really safe lol. Every XXX/USD pair has been whipped down for no apparent reason.
