Regardless of when (trading day or weekend day) the trend is the trend. That is the first consideration. Risk preference, account size and all other considerations come next.

Why is it manipulation "only" when it is range bound. Why not when it is going up or down? Well actually there are a lot more claiming manipulation when it is going down because of course Gold should only go up up and up.

Agree and disagree. To long side is "less" risk per se. The trend is up after all. But even so holding (other than as an investment) is uncertain so risky none the less.

Managing risk is what is important. Prior winnings are your money, not so-called playing with the banks money. Reward to risk is uncertain over a weekend so unless it is already part of a traders plan and acceptable it isn't wise.

Although my weekly trend lines are slightly different I like how you as well ignore many of the meaningless spike bars - that the a#a! retentive types get all crazy about.

Entering a trade based on lower timeframe PA is one thing. Confirming what is happening on higher time cannot be done. Only the reverse.

The median price of the first 5 minutes and the first 30 minutes of RTH @ NY open usually gives a good heads up for direction of the day. Today 1st 30 is below 1st 5 which means down. Also secondarily RSI staying below 60:

You misunderstood what I was saying earlier. A minute bar in a 187 point move is not very meaningful. Not the 187 point, not the minute bar itself. The two looked at together.
