As well as looking for a large daily move you can also watch the ADR for that pair and when it get's to around 75%+ of it's 20 ADR you can start looking for HOLO or 123's. This will keep you out of trouble when price is bouncing around in the middle ...

I know this strategy doesn't straddle the news release but why don't you guys just straddle the news, but not just a normal straddle.....stretch it out some. Place the pending orders 20 pips away on both sides. Allow for plenty of room for slippage ...

Oh ok....so you're only adjusting the size of the range "after" you have a fail. NOT before the first trigger is tirggered.

With your 08-00 15 min bar.......what is your minimum range "without" using a buffer? And how much of a buffer do you add to the range? Basically what range are you trying to "create" when you add pips to a small range? Txs Billy
