dax is made of 30 highest Capitaliz. stocks , so company earnings outlook very important obviously. It's extremely sensitive to event risks as well. you might wanna keep an eye on Dow, S&Ps and Nikkei as well when trading dax.

KiwiOz, It has nothing to do with any brokers whatsoever. Dax index can only be traded as futures on an Exchange in the real world unlike FX market which is OTC and open 24/7. The Futures Exchange is closed every business day from 10p.m. to 8a.m. ...
