Hi aftab. Your harmonics lessons. I just got a harmonics pdf/book that I'm looking forward to digging into. Hopefully, I'll gain a little more insight. On this EUR/GBP setup that you've noted here: I saw this one as well (probably more luck that ...

Thanks for the compliments, and no worries about rushing trades here. I probably under trade, if there is such a thing. The breakout play does seem to be the best way to go with those pairs. Since most seem pretty well correlated at this point, I ...

Almost forgot — What do you folks think about the price action in many of the JPY crosses, and the NZD/USD (AUD/USD kind of too). That looks like some pretty strong signs of a bottom to me. At the same time, maybe we'll see some PA as the pair ...

Wow, did I miss a lot, or what? — Thank you everyone for your contributions. There is gold in this thread. Somethings I feel pretty solid on from previous learning, and some of them are helping to solidify what I felt I knew, but wasn't 100% ...

I really appreciate the lessons aftab. Looking at the last example you posted, I have to admit that I would easily have missed that one. But, my eyes do seem like they are opening. Thank you.

Absolutely. Especially in regards to profit taking. I believe that to be the most difficult thing about trading. I finally feel comfortable about my decisions on where to TP because of them in conjunction with s/r levels.

I still feel like a rookie. I LOVE horizontal S/R lines. I'm salivating over that area. However, this pair can be so volatile that I think I'd prefer a close under that spot. Maybe we'll get lucky and get some action like EUR/GBP ...Damion's Tribute

Thanks for the link and feedback! That Cable gartley that I think I saw obviously failed. I didn't trade it, even with the minimal risk that comes with gartley patterns, for the even more obvious reason of the looming BOE rate decision. Just trying ...

I definitely like this pair for an extended trip south. Looks like it put in a potential double top at the end of April, and has been in a descending triangle since then. It appears to be accelerating the decline as the last pullback fell short of ...

Gartely? — To echo Nimrod's post, this thread really is great. Thank you soya, and to those of you contributing. I don't get a chance to watch the charts like I used to. That has left me watching the daily charts for the most part (which may ...

Hey soya! I'm very pleased to see you start a trading journal. This will be one of the very few threads I'll actively visit. I've been focusing on the daily TF as of late due to my schedule, but I still love this method. -Hoping to learn

DST — Are you guys changing your day open times this week? I didn't realize that Europe wasn't changing their clocks until March 29th. So, that would put Frankfurt open at 3:00 am EST. url

Are you typically able to identify those bad fading days? I mean the options exp days seem to be one of them. Is this end of month/quarter typical too?

I just went long at 1.4120 with a 30 pip SL. Not a big trade or risk, but I'm walking on egg shells this week. I have virtually no resolution with any trades. This is just one of those I couldn't pass up. Same as the USD/CAD short at just 1.059. I'm ...

As you've said the JPY crosses seem to be driving the market since this crisis peaked. Upon approval I expect the crosses to rocket up and bring the USD pairs most linked with the JPY crosses (like EUR, GBP, AUD, NZD) up with them. Then I expect ...

track — If we're still doing that. USD/CAD Long 1.0321 - 1.0294 I like the lower level better, right around the figure. 61.8 from the latest big move up, and 50% from the lows of May. My only reservation is that oil is rocketing up, but we ...
