The 2 pip spread on EURUSD and 4 pips on USDJPY sound like FXCM. See the screenshot on my earlier post. You are right, Currenex has the potential to be rigged. Then there's the whole issue with the last look provision designed to give the liquidity ...

"FXCM's is the only firm that runs their Currenex through their dealing desk." I'm paraphrasing, but that's what a Currenex insider told me once about FXCM's Currenex. While there is some rigging going on on every Currenex hub to some degree, this ...

If you want to trade news [and I have nothing against it because we do it using a proprietary algorithmic system connected to various news feeds - still in Beta], you really need to go to use an aggregated liquidity solution. Even if you go with a ...

Yes; I would do the same. Why risk it? When the capital requirements go into effect and it's official, you should have a better idea where you want to be at. We're not setting any accounts up unless the broker is well within the expected ...

philmcgrew; What you're saying is true from a price perspective. By definition, a limit order can't be filled at a price that's worse than the limit price. But I was referring to slippage from the point of view of time delay and the resulting lost ...

There's no such thing as no slippage. There is always slippage, especially when you're manually trading. Add a dealing desk model to that and the slippage increases. They might be quoting the best, best, case scenario. It's a marketing gimmick to ...

I took this screenshot off BGC's Currenex around 10:20 AM New York time today. The GBPJPY spread varies all over the place, but is usually between 1 to 3 pips during active market hours.

KGB; the allocator is also working on an "internal hub" that will have commissions similar to what brokerage firms pay; much lower than the CAX - but that's not ready yet (so we'll use the CAX in the meantime) and will only be available to traders ...

Yes, KGB. It's the CAX through vCap. We have an allocator that funds our traders with substantial capital. Maybe that's why they allowed us to do that while some traders get tested. Not sure. Do you trade for others or just yourself?

Yup; that is a pretty brief response. I've never use that platform, as we always tap into their Currenex hub. the 7 dollars and 0-1 wide may mean $35 per million US traded per side (how Currenex commissions are quoted) or $70 per million US traded ...

No; but if they did, I would run the other way as fast as possible because there can't be such a thing. In the past, a few brokerage firms claimed this even though it wasn't really true. I'm not even sure it's possible anymore after the NFA started ...
