I also look at pullbacks to the 'other side of zero'. For example, if the 150 is above zero, I'm looking for the 14 to pullback to zero or below, then enter on price action triggers (eg engulfing, hammers, reversal bars, trendline breaks).

4H CCI Strategy (Catch most of PIPs from Trend)

Bill's advice is right on - take the first pullback after a 50cci cross or the slingshot trades. They're solid. Use a higher timeframe as a check to help you stay on the right side of the trend.

I'm looking at this on shorter TFs as entry triggers. I'm also collapsing bars to show reversal and engulfing patterns. Often you will see a retracement of the engulfing bar. You can average in or wait for a pullback to a limit order level.

To date, the most money I've made trading has been with breakout approaches. The best one is a variation on a Larry Williams approach. They 'work' but you have to tend to them, look for pullbacks prior to entry, figure out how you're gonna' exit.
