the 12.15 almost dragonfly doji (hammer). That would have been my long entry. Personally I wouldn't have taken the first two (11.45 and 12) because they seemed to be hitting some price resistance and 5sma resistance. Other traders here might have ...

well I think EO summed it up well yesterday when he said, "I expect nothing". Thing is that some people very well may consider that an inverted hammer -- I have two different price feeds and it's amazing how they show different candles, so some ...

well it seems to be playing out. If I had been here at the time I would have taken the 15m hammer earlier in the hour. The 1h candle wouldn't fit my definition of inverted hammer but if the 15m offers a long opportunity, then definitions go out the ...

I think the second part of your sentence disproved the first part. For an inverted hammer I would want to see a green body close into the previous red body (combination of inverted hammer and harami). This definitely wouldn't count IMO.

I did something similar -- long off a 15m trendline at the same price, though I got the feeling it wouldn't hold and closed for +5 mighty quickly. So I know what you were thinking. But with the close of the 1h like that, in that position, it's many ...

I think whichever you start with--and I'm sure some would say that you could start with e/j--you should focus on that one only so you can 1) learn the method, and 2) build confidence through that method. Some guys can concentrate on many different ...

well fair enough. I pointed it out only because I don't see any reason to throw away good pips. But if you do okay on both, then good going.

I would be careful trading e/j until you can say you've mastered trading cable with this system. e/j in my experience is more violent and less predictable than cable. Most of my summer losses came on it so obviously I would say that--and have gone ...

I don't know, I can't be convinced about it unfortunately. My 1h closed lower than last hour and looking like an awful dragonfly doji (okay it wasn't quite at the top of the run up...). There are lots of ways to make money in this market, luckily ...

congrats to anyone who could buy the 3pm open (this hour). I know it's a shaved bottom but I just couldn't buy a 1h or 15m looking like that. Rather scary for a long
