pt49 replied Nov 16, 2023A way I'm going to use the data is to see if there are seasonal trends, good or bad. Being a very simple entry model, you would think it would be consistent over 130+ trades in 3 full years on a forex pair... but it's not.

pt49 replied Nov 14, 2023I originally used this as a daily trade setup, but I am now backtesting on the 1 hour charts and 4 hour charts. I'm seeing about 100 trades a pair in 6 to 8 months on 1 hour charts, and about 40 trades in 10-11 months on 4 hour. All the "Guru's" ...

pt49 replied Nov 13, 2023I think the data feed is irrelevant as long as you stay with it. What I make on the swings, you make on the sways... so to speak. I use FXCM on all but 2 pairs which I use Oanda because no FXCM.

pt49 replied Nov 13, 2023You are using different entry rules to myself. IMPORTANT!! I enter the trade at the "Open" of the next candle (or near as I can, using Market Order). By entering at qually candle high or low is sometimes costing you a lot of pips. OTHER TRADERS ...
