What I need to figure out is those trades that I can hold for more than 20 pips. Theoretically could have gained up to 100 pips. One trade would have made my goal for the entire week. Problem with this is it usually takes several tries and you have ...

Short @ 1.6699. Decided to hold for more than 20 pips. Placed a stop at 1.6700. It got hit before turning back down. Arghhh! image

Im pretty sure Esignal has 5 sec charts. Quote tracker is another option. As for lowest spreads/commisions, Interactive Brokers is the best, but they are notorious for having bad customer service towards newbies. If you need hand holding do not use ...

Appreciate your input. If I could figure out a better way to reduce the time without missing trades, that would be perfect, but haven't figured that out yet.

Exactly. And the good thing about this system is that you can often get out for breakeven if the trade doesn't work out. There's also at least one good trade a week where you can get well over 20pips, usually a big news announcement. So the ...

Just trading. Yeah the hrs are odd which is really the hardest part for me but I have been watching and trading forex for half a year and I don't see any other way. If I hit my target of 20 pips for the day, I may just call it a day after 8hrs. ...

My goals for next week: Watch forex markets from 10pm-9am everyday. Average 20 pips per day. This is a very acheivable goal but my biggest problem now is staying awake and alert for 11hrs per day.

Absolutely. Sometimes its tempting to stray from the system in an attempt to catch a move.....most of the time when I do this it leads to trouble

I was looking for a long entry on this BoE news. An L-pattern started to form but failed. I've noticed these are often very good entries to short, right when the L-pattern fails around 1.6780ish.
