ElectroGypsy replied Feb 26, 2014Just a warning that the crude oil inventories report does impact USDCAD more than any other major. It may be possible that MMs create a pump and dump situation based off the liquidity generated by these events. Of course, who really knows? I'm ...

ElectroGypsy replied Feb 25, 2014I think your analysis of CAD is spot on. The GBP data on Friday may be what sends CAD farther down, but I wouldn't be surprised if the USD data/CAD Current Account releases on Thursday determine the rest of the week's trend for USDCAD. At the very ...

ElectroGypsy replied Feb 23, 2014I don't disagree with you over algos becoming more and more common, but if you look at the chart Jeremy attached, pip range hasn't changed almost at all since '95. Sure, we very well may be a period of lower ranges, but a similar situation happened ...

ElectroGypsy replied Feb 23, 2014Darwin, Thank you for the interesting tool! After reading both of your other threads, I can definitively say you have done a great job of not only identifying a problem but also providing a realistic solution to a problem. I'm not much of an EA ...

ElectroGypsy replied Feb 21, 2014It's really unbelievable what MMs can do. USDCAD did the same thing this morning as well. There was much less volume until about 30 mins before CAD data was released, and then it picked up drastically before crashing. Great stuff!

ElectroGypsy replied Feb 21, 2014I agree that your entry was taken at a great place and UJ does seem rather bearish in many respects, but how are you and JRissa dealing with the fact that price has been consolidating beneath the 1/2 number for the past 12 hours? Are you guys just ...

ElectroGypsy replied Feb 21, 2014Yes, yes, I get that. Many Sonicers won't place trades right before a news release... I'm asking if a lot of unexpected whipsawing occurs on days like these due to G20 events. EDIT: It's fine. I found a more responsive answer elsewhere.

ElectroGypsy replied Feb 20, 2014For those of you who have traded G20 news days (like the one tomorrow)... What are pairs like on these days? Do they experience a lot of whipsaw as different speakers take the stage? Does not that much happen? Just curious. Can't say I'm very ...

ElectroGypsy commented Feb 20, 2014I will probably regret asking this question, but here it goes... What are the markets like on G20 days? I'm not too familiar with what usually happens. Can we expect a rollercoaster of a day or nothing that unusual?
