fwiw, the odds of the January cut already jumped to 94% on Friday after the housing numbers came out.

Correct. InterbankFX is no exception. Spread widening, trading against you, stop hunting, re-quoting, slippage, trade reversal, scalping deterrents, unknown liquidity, etc etc Nothing is illegal in an unregulated market. Your broker is free to do ...

Thanks! This page mentions the book sweep feature at the bottom, 200 million EUR/USD in one click (4-5 pip levels deep). An interesting feature of their platform is the ability to set pre-defined slippage. Meaning, if you were trading at those ...

Dukascopy advertises "100 Million with one click", so 1000 lots for them. I imagine the other ECNs are the same, you can sweep the book if you have the funds in your account. Several hundred million on the majors on some of them..

Thanks for the clarification. Just out of curiosity, what happened to all of ATC's clients who were on BGC's Currenex when they pulled the plug? That must've been a nightmare. All the money wired out, new FCM applications signed & approved, more ...
Spot-trader: An MT4 ECN broker?
- Trader KGB replied Dec 29, 2007
I see, I was getting BGC mixed up with Barclays. So if ATC still works with Cantor/BGC, why can't they go direct, and why were the accounts closed? Shouldn't they have been re-opened once Cantor/BGC realized they misinterpreted the CFTC letter? When ...
Spot-trader: An MT4 ECN broker?
- Trader KGB replied Dec 29, 2007
Scott, Does this mean ATC no longer uses Cantor's Currenex feed? (I noticed the demo you sent me back in Sept. no longer works) How does BGC's Currenex feed/spreads compare to Cantor's?

They can't, USDJPY is the underlying of every yen cross. It has the highest volume of any yen pair. I was also recently long CADJPY for most of its rise from 109 - 116. At the time, both USDJPY and USDCAD were lining up perfectly. That's the best ...

Tough to say, I don't follow anything under M15. Run 2 different MT4 demo feeds + 2-3 ECN feeds. I use the ECN feeds for trading. My only complaint about NF's data is their 4pm Sunday open, which adds a 1-hour daily candle to the daily chart. I ...

I think the CFDs are traded entirely within MT4. Just to preface, I was only recommending their feed to fit your request, definitely not their services. They're based in Cypress and there are number of negative reviews on them.

No it's not, not at all. And you already answered it. Any broker not using the 5:00pm open/close cycle is drastically deteriorating their data quality.
Any MIG users? Different candle close times between MIG demo and MT4 demo?
- Trader KGB replied Dec 27, 2007
That's pretty abhorrent. 3 pips on EURUSD is highway robbery. $999/month savings would be an afterthought, I'd be handing that much over to them every few trades with that spread. According to their site, NinjaTrader is free with a dozen different ...

Are you a hard worker/good with physical jobs? I would look into the Albertan oil industry. From reports I've read, they are in such demand for labor there that they have built dorms/apartments for transient workers to live, and the pay is great. ...

IB. I do most of my business with them. Their "cons" as I listed aren't an issue to me (they were in the very beginning, just like they are for all new IB clients, you get over it). Their pros put them far ahead of any other broker, retail and ...

I'm only familiar with Hotspot's institutional platform (I've tested it, but my strategies don't allow for the ~$250MM monthly volume requirement to maintain access to it through certain prime brokers). By far, it has the tightest spreads of any ...
