Thanks for the tips NM. So... When a touch of the 100 SMA is still a recent event then wait a while longer. In a healthy trend we should be seeing decent sized bounces off the 30/50 - this one may be coming back a little too soon. The fact that the ...

Thanks for looking that setup over NM. I've just noticed the spread is 9 pips which has put me off it a bit! BTW: do you think the USDCHF pair may have started its harmonic bouncing on the H1? The SMAs are nicely aligned, it's bounced once off the ...

Does anyone think the potential GBPCAD short setup on H4 looks promising? It's in the fib zone of the bigger move down from the 4th Dec and has pulled back to the 30 SMA 3 times recently within the parallel SMAs all pointing down. It's now pulled ...

Agreed NM. What I have to do is fight the urge to take poor setups with the trends all messed up as they are. I should really wait till the new year I suppose but I'm itching to practice my new found techniques. Your guidance has already helped ...

Thanks for info. Sounds like you've got what it takes, well done. I may give micro a chance yet. Cheers, Dave

I'm on mini lots already Custos. I would have the option of moving to micro which would let me reduce size in chunks of 3% but I've heard bad things about micro and don't really want to go there. Nice idea though. Maybe one day!

Interesting post Custos, thanks. I've seen others refer to varying position size based on numerous factors and I'd really like to give it a try. My problem is that currently MM dictates that I can't trade more than 3 contracts concurrently which ...

Thanks for the reply NM. I suspected it might be just one of those gray areas. Made 30 and 61 pips out of AUDUSD today which was nice. Unfortunately I just tried a GBPJPY short and lost some of that when it took off. I think I might place my order 2 ...

NM, This thread is really taking off isn't it!? Wonder if you could help me figure this one out please? I've noticed that many retracements happen in two stages - an initial shallower move followed by a final steeper move. This results in 2 ...

Chris, do you adjust your retracement trendline as the angle gets steeper or just stick with the original shallower line? For instance, the USDJPY M30 retracement is now becoming steeper. Should I be adjusting the TL to catch a break earlier or is ...

Chris, I agree EU is in the zone but I can't find any confluence to back up the current pull back. The closest resistance I can find is above at the 1.48 level where a TL meets the RN. Perhaps I've missed some key lines?

Thanks for the chart Chris. I'll keep watching this pair and have my retracement TL drawn on the H1 chart - it's a pretty steep one. Perhaps it could break down and retest the 0.91 RN?
