Spreadbetter commented Dec 4, 2013It's part of the same monetary policy, unemployment>interest rate>QE, but you're right on the specifics, iirc correctly Bernanke moved the goalposts around June between the 6.5-7% level.
ADP: Private Sector Employment Increased by 215,000 Jobs in November

Spreadbetter commented Dec 4, 2013I'm not sure why so many of us have become confused over the taper narrative, the target is 6.5% unemployment which on current trajectory equals another year of QE/monetary easing. The last time Bernanke gave evidence he categorically dismissed the ...

Spreadbetter commented Dec 4, 2013Well I'm not gonna quibble with the BEA data but ADP can be inaccurate despite their claims of improving methodology. I don't think they'll be 'that' out, maybe 10-30K? Still a huge improvement on last year.

Spreadbetter commented Dec 4, 2013My trades are currently up circa 5%, but I don't do sweaty palm knee jerk stuff, its trend trading and I/we don't measure success on a daily basis for an individual trader, the 5% represents weeks of 'work and effort' and if you believe I work hard ...

Spreadbetter commented Dec 4, 2013Anyone in retail trying to trade the news is a muppet. Ask yourself why brokers compile articles such as "how to trade the NFP numbers this Friday", because they're nice guys or because they recognise how easy it is to steamroll guys trying to pick ...

Spreadbetter commented Dec 3, 2013Spot on, I'd go a stage further and claim that anyone who suggests they're trading in that tense/seat of the pants manner is light years away from having any form of career in the FX industry or from taking out consistent profits from the markets.

Spreadbetter commented Dec 3, 2013What, so in order for retail punters to show and tell on FF they'd have to peel away the security aspects of their trading accounts? Why would anyone want to do that, moreover what's the benefit of sharing anyhow? Does this relate to all these guys ...
