The banks can only move/respond to information so quickly. It's actually their job to respond slowly and buffer the economy. All you have to do is know which way they're going and avoid smashing into them.
Is strictly trading support and resistance profitable?

No, that would not work. Especially if you don't know what's the banks/firms and what's 'the majority'  You can use simple S&R lines. Go look at the monthly charts, put down your positions, and check back with us once a month. Make sure you use ...

The mathematical principles that 9.999^Infinity = 1 or 3.333^infinity = 1/3 is what seperates mathematicians from physicists. Or the principle that 0 = 0 (which immediately gets invalidated by schrodinger's cat and the various quantum theories) ÂÂ ...

ÂÂ That depends on what you want to consider a 'mathematician'. Your question is like saying 'Does speaking english make you an english teacher, or something else?'. Yes. And No. Â A physicist(someone who understands physics and speaks the language ...

I was using 'trampled' as a metaphor to explain to him what it's going to feel like if he's blindly placing his order at a support/resistance level without actually witnessing the price movement. You may trade for a living. Many people don't. To ...

Teaching physics is not BEING a physicist. Teaching physics is being a mathematician. Just like being an english teacher isn't the same as being a poet. You need to actually be able to see the universe moving from the quantum up to the ...

I have to disagree with anyone that knocks down Martingale. It is an excellent money management strategy when used properly. Quantum Physics and Schrodinger's Cat confuses mathematicians because mathematicians don't understand reality. It's a good ...

I am looking at the same charts you are. I trade by watching and 'feeling' the market move... and by what I know from the news calendar, time-zones, psychology, and by learning what methods everyone else is using. My strategy is to use my brain and ...

Also, yes, thank you... you showed us all a good setup. I just scored a few dozen pips going short on the USD/JPY after it bounced a little off the support line and resistance started to shove it back down. Basically, I profited off of the traders ...

Many traders lose their money for many different reasons. Basing trades entirely off of S&R without understanding how to use them is probably one of the more simple ways. Â Yes, bouncing off a S&R level is a way of saying 'Get in now, you won't get ...

He is saying that because it was the most recent resistance line. But I highly doubt it is going to break that line any time soon. You can't find the resistance lines because the ceiling is collapsing. You are looking for a straight line but ...

Even I voted 'yes'. Because 'no' isn't true and it is possible to trade with no indicators if you understand the market. It is a leveraged poll asking an arbitrary question. Â Can you do it with just S&R? Yes. Can you do it well? If you need to ask ...

I wouldn't buy the USD/JPY right now. I would wait for it to break through that support and sell or wait for it to bounce a little then sell. But I am not thoroughly analyzing it right now. Â You drew a support line to buy... but why didn't you draw ...

Randomly picking any currency and selling at any random time can be profitable. The question is how often is something profitable(odds) and for how long? S&R levels can be more useful than having absolutely no knowledge of anything in the market. Of ...

MoneyZilla, what do you mean regarding 'flips'? Do you mean when an EA strategy turns from positive to negative values? The best I've managed was a 20-to-1 Reward/Risk ratio with ~80% monthly returns and 0 Drawdown. That's what the backtesting said ...

I second this. Do not ask us which one is better or worse or will work or won't work... it's your money. My greatest advice to you is to learn how EVERYTHING works and decide for yourself. Both Technical Analysis and Fundamental Analysis can be ...
