This looks like the spike was during roll-over period. I'm using 3rd party charting with mb, and also get spikes sometimes - mostly during roll-over and friday close, where they don't affect orders.

What ever 'large' means by the OP's standards, IB has a max order-size of 4M for gbp. Also 'large' probably means he wants a platform with vwap price display capability, so he actually knows the price before sending a 'large' order.

I never traded 10m, usually 500k - 1m and fills are ok. 10m is what Oanda says their prices are good for. Anything more, and you have to split it up in two trades. I would also be interested in someone putting that to a test, somehow sounds too good ...
