It's not about the rules mate, it's about politeness and avoiding annoying the forum readers. If you cannot make your points clear without using a 24-size, red-colored font, then perhaps you should re-consider a thing or two.

Hello Dan, I cant say whether I would have traded that pin bar or not because I cannot see the whole picture off your chart. I mean, where are the different trendlines in different time frames, where are the daily and weekly pivots, etc. I do NOT ...

The 6 months deadline was just a random figure to express a long-enough period of time. It could be either 6 months worth of trading, or 100 trades, etc, as long as it's a significant enough time span. I hear time and again newcomers saying stuff ...

Trumpcard, Your analysis of Fib rets seems alright to me (38, 50 and 61 are my favourite, I am a bit aprehensive with the 23 and the 76 ones). Although it is true that 7 pips is a bit excesive. I particularily love to see pin bars that touch to the ...

Confidence in your system is CRUCIAL. Otherwise you'll lack the discipline to follow it properly. That's why it's so important to have profitably traded your system for long months over a demo account before going live, so you KNOW that it works if ...

Of course you can build up a fortune off a US$100 initial capital, however it'd take you a whole life via senssible trading (meaning not risking more than a 3% of your account per trade, strict money managment rules, etc). In my opinion, US$10,000 ...

That's right. Apply that formula over AT LEAST six months worth of demo trading and if the outcome is in green color, then you can start trading real money, not before.

I agree with this. It's really important to have monthly/yearly goals, and if you happen to reach them and, perhaps, over-score them, then you should consider treating yourself for a nice, long and well-deserved holidays in order to reload your ...

5% a day? hehe trust me, if you can sustain over time a 10% return a month you are definitely in the right track to richness. Besides, focusing on a daily goal is ridiculous, because it'll force you to trade even in days where market conditions ...

Sure you do. Question is: why would you if you can always find one or two trending pairs? I dont think it's worth incurring in the extra risk. The way I see it is: if I dont like what I see, I dont trade. Quoting Jim: "a trader is not to be out ...

Choppy ranges? easy one for me. With so many pairs and crosses, you can always find one or two that are trending. I personally stay away from choppy markets, no need to play that kind of lottery.

Remember Habeeb that trading is a marathon, not a sprint. If you ought to, it doesn't matter if you downsize your lot size and thus earn less per pip. What matters is to be disciplined, stick to the very rules and place the SL where they belong. By ...

Habeeb, stops are to be placed wherever they are meant to be placed. If 55 pips if too much for your money managment priorities, then perhaps you might want to reduce your lot size rather than reducing your stop loss. Proper SL possitioning is ...
