The Wizard of Oz replied Jul 27, 2006Agreed, no intervention is perfoming amazingly well so far. The floating losses can be scary but so far they have just been floating. Wiz.

The Wizard of Oz replied Jul 17, 2006Same her with the 15min pheonix. 30min Firebird has quite a large floating loss too. Hopefully it'll settle down in the next few days, but anything is possible. Could completely blow up also.

The Wizard of Oz replied Jul 17, 2006Yes I am still testing but my previous account expired before I was able to save the results. One thing I noticed is that I didn't have as many trades as you have. It may have something to do with the divergence setting. I am using ...

The Wizard of Oz replied Jul 17, 2006Put it this way. Most people would like to have it the other way around. High reward low risk. The problem is if you were aiming for 300 pip gains how often would you achieve them. Could you get 3 in a row with a risk of 30 pips? The logic says, low ...

The Wizard of Oz replied Jul 17, 2006Then you have problems. I have also been running this EA on the 30min with at 30/300 but so far the market has not been trending in the longer term so it's hard to know how it will perform. So far since I began testing just over a month ago I have ...

The Wizard of Oz replied Jul 13, 2006Looks like we are using simmilar settings. What was your starting balance - $10,000? I didn't have nearly as many trades as you did but have also had a good run for the month. I forget the number of trades but they were all winners. My account was ...

The Wizard of Oz replied Jul 13, 2006pheonix on 30 min — I'd like to try pheonix on the 30 min timeframe with a 30 pip take profit, nit sure about the stop. I tested the 63G on the 30 min with a 300 pip stop and managed 50% for the month with no losses at all. it was only down 1% ...

Just noticed your reply Fiji. I am doing much better with it these days. That was early days when I posted that comment. Now I pretty much stick with the original plan with mentoring.

The Wizard of Oz replied Jun 28, 2006Hendrick. You're a champion. Thanks for all your efforts. An interesting thing is that I am still running the 18 TP 42SL with 15 pipstep, which really bombed out last week and it is now just over 10% in profit since I began. The best performer has ...

The Wizard of Oz replied Jun 27, 2006Since firebird give a lot of good trades why not just eliminate the pipstep altogether. At least that should get rid of the "adding to losers" flaw. This seems to be the main weakness. Just an oppinion. Wiz.

The Wizard of Oz replied Jun 26, 2006Mono, When you say Test 1 are you reffering to running the EA only on the first 3 days? What settings are you using? This firebird sure clocks up some good trades. It's a pitty it has to have losers

The Wizard of Oz replied Jun 26, 2006I think a bigger pipstep is much better. I was using a 40 pipstep on one account and that one is still in profit. The stop was 120pips on that one but the amazing thing is that it is still in profit since I started 11 days ago. I will try a pipstep ...

The Wizard of Oz replied Jun 23, 2006Having fun anyone? I really wonder what can be done to improve this EA. My graph at the end of my statement looks really great if I turn it upside down. I guess the initial excitement has calmed down a bit. The start of the week saw great profits ...
