JPY may be really weak right now, the results that came out weren't that much off target (gbp anyways), and lastly, it's forex, weird things happen lol

sometimes demoes get spikes in their data, which cause what you described. i'm guessing none of your other eur or jpy charts have this spike, so it is just a data error. nothing to worry about, unless you get that in live trading, which you would ...

We'll see where it closes, pin bar right on 38.2 fib level, could be a good bull sign. my "timing" also shows that there is a good chance of reversal. not to mention it just tested a double bottom @ 228.20

No doubt about it, stop losses are crucial. Unless you are trading VERY VERY long term, have a huge account and can handle thousands of pips drawdown, over a long time (even years), then you need stop losses!!

Don't use JUST patterns, use them to confirm or converge with candlestick patterns, support/resistance, trend lines, etc.

I'd limit risk to 1 or 2% per trade, 5% is crazy. 10 losing trades and there goes half your account, (50%). To just breakeven you will now need to make 100% return! And believe me, 10 losing trades in a row is not that uncommon.

i dont believe it is open source. i think brokers pay fee's to be able to use it as their platform. not all brokers use it, and oanda is one that doesnt unfortunately. you need to add other servers which there is a tutorial for in these forums, but ...

A quick look back and it seems like after a bottom, there is likely to be another strong bottom after ~200 hourly candles, give or take a few hours, just an observation
