Peter, I appreciate your appreciation.
I know you weren't complaining, and I understand what you're saying. I went down the same thought process myself during development. But from a development perpective the word "probably" always raises a red ...The Napster of Forex

I don't understand. The alert values shouldn't change after you save them, even if you close and reopen the form. Surely your alert parameters aren't getting lost, are they? Now, after you click Save the first currency in the drop down list will get ...

Don't worry, all trades are anonymous unless you're in a channel. If you select a channel and click View Channel History link you can see who did what. You can also export it to Excel. The Napster of Forex

Try X86, then x64 if that install fails. No, but good idea! As of now you will have to configure alerts for each currency independently. Maybe I'll squeeze that into the next release... Thanks for the idea!

Thanks! Programmers love you.
I like the idea of integration with FF. I could generate some web services on my site to supply the communication of stats over to the FF site. I'll shoot you an email and we'll discuss it further. The Napster of Forex

Question: Given the FOMC interest rate statement tomorrow afternoon, will anybody be playing the Nonfarm productivity (yellow) and Unit labor cost (orange) news releases in the morning? Is it silly to anticipate any movement from these releases ...

Hmmm, I only trade the EUR/USD and occasionally the USD/CAD. I guess I won't be switching to aud/usd any time soon! Thanks for the reply.

I have never noticed Oanda making their spreads that large (other than on weekends), and I've been using them for several years. My spread on the EUR/USD is 1.5, even just 2-3 minutes before a news release.

Only as much as can be expected from any broker, I assume. That's the obvious downside to the straddling strategy, but like I said before the only risk is the difference between your two limit orders (the long and the short) as one will close out ...

How do we make a profit on Oanda? Just like this! (See attachment.) Oanda has always been good for me using the idea of straddling a channel right before a news release. It's especially nice because I don't have to spend all day watching graphs and ...

Oanda offers spot trades, works well for using limit orders around big news releases. And I agree, upgrade to at least windows 2000 pro. I've used Oanda for 3+ years with little or no problems.

I'll be the first to report in. All orders are in EUR/USD: At 9:57 (EST) this morning I set a short limit order at 1.20769 and a long limit order at 1.2092 (just above and below the existing channel). My short order was filled at 10:00, just before ...
