Yes, I found that a few days ago and your tip on crosshairs was particularly useful. Extracts from the rest of that post and the shortcuts you listed are printed out and currently decorate my wall. You can take it that they were helpful.

Excellent food for thought. Thanks Hanover and triphop for your wise replies. I agree with both of you in your analysis of the hedge needing to cover the full martingale progression. If I didn't cover the full value from the start and instead I ...
Risk mitigation that might make Martingale viable?

Hanover, my old friend, thanks for joining the thread. OK, you're not an old friend, but I've read sooo many of your posts, particularly on martingale, that I feel I know you well. Pardon the familiarity.

I'm hoping some other experts chip in on some unanswered or still only partially answered questions. 1. Is there a way to build major fundamental events into the backtesting to exclude those occasions where major events caused prices to move ...

Thank you. I liked the Max Keiser one the best. I love his style. I have a question on backtesting while I wait to see if anyone has any news sites to add to your suggestions or, in fact, if anyone can make a suggestion for a calculator (I did ...

Jay, I feel the need for a good calculator. Given a currency pair, spread, position size etc., it should be able to provide, at a glance, the real volume of currency at stake, the negative balance with which the position would open (i.e. spread x ...

I'm quite familiar with various offshore structures from trusts to shells, but I don't quite get what you're driving at - the obvious disconnect is that you work for yourself and yet make $0. Maybe you're suggesting you've arranged an offshore ...

Very cynical, but let's for a moment accept that your view is correct - that the best way of making money is getting people to spend on backtesting software. If that's correct then you're better off developing some software to cater for this market. ...
