That is something you decide on your own before you even open charts. General accepted risk among traders is 1-5% of account, divided among stop loss. 5% being considered on the high side. Remember if you lose 5% to readjust the trade size to ...

Ya, and it being Friday is why I just locked in + 1 pip. Could be a return back short or just a harsh retrace and more long.

Could be, but quick 50 pip run is really nothing. Doesn't need a news events or everyone covering. I atribute it to just being friday. Lots of bullshit moves on Friday. A trader can have a great rest of the week, where everything moves as expected, ...

fuck youtube and blog forex tips and subscription signal services. If they were so good at deciding when to go long and short they'd be trading forex and making money at it insted of trying to con people into a subscription.

Nice, the pendulum starts to swing in my direction. Up 12 pips already from my 1.2308 short.

My Oanda platform isn't having a problem. Not in the US? I see maintenance every friday, but not until they close for the weekend.

Maybe a bounce off of 1.2317 Phuck it, short from 1.2308 Already went long 76 pips in 4 strong 15M candles, good set up for a fade/ short from a retracement.

LOLz just noticed a line I put on my chart a while back labeled, "where I would like to go short from next." ..........is starting to look good for a short. See if I see some turnover/rejection there. though 1.2400 looks better for a short.

200 EMA at 1.2317 maybe it'l reach for that and start to bounce back short.

Glad I didn't jump in short. Looks like were getting a 15M bolinger band run. Though 3 strong 15M candles long is making a fade short start to look good.. .......and theres 1.2300

I'll be looking for another short set up around 1.2280 or or somewhere abovethat, that was never really tested before the last short move. Also the top of a bolinger band on 15M. MMMM on second thought, price looks like it wants to test 1.2300 Mmmm ...

When it comes to news and speeches only real stategy I heard of is buy/sell stops on either side of price before news. I can't do that in US because I can't hedge. So, I either sit aside or make a guess based on my usual set ups.

EU is going to continue short to 1.22177, before any significant long move I believe. If you aren't already in short, you've already missed the best entries though. Best to sit aside, don't chase price as it's dropping. Wait for long moves to short.

The real problem is if he has an actual repeatable edge where he knows he's going to win more than he loses and can make up losses, or if he is just getting lucky with a string of winners because how he is trading works in the current market ...

Nice rebound, looks like it was just a retrace/stophunt before the real short move. I hope everyone went long now, like that dippy noob screamed....
