24HourTrader replied May 9, 2010I checked the Dukascopy link out, saw some weird stuff. I downloaded the M1 data for January 1st 2008 and almost every candle had the same value for the O, H, L, and C. Maybe the tick data is better.
Does anyone got a reliable history-data?
-
24HourTrader replied May 8, 2010I'll second this request, though I'd be fine with M1 data. Why is it so hard to find some decent historical data...? I recall hearing that even esignal was very spotty.

24HourTrader replied May 1, 2010Thanks for your response. This is exactly why I'm confused, since the indi is not working as you described here. I attached 2 pics...you can see the M1 chart, the source chart, has its first candle as 9:31....but if you look at the second chart, an ...

24HourTrader replied May 1, 2010Does anybody know where the "start date/time" is for MT4? That is to say, where time starts ticking. This doesnt matter at all for TF's like H1, where everythng is divided evenly every 24 hours. But if you open an H10 chart using H1 data, you will ...

24HourTrader replied Apr 23, 2010Isn't this what Barry Obama is trying to do(or claiming to try to do)? I recall something to the effect of preventing institutions that hold depositor funds from doing their own speculating. I assume the result would be the speculating/trading parts ...

24HourTrader replied Apr 13, 2010I disagree. Such brokers generally offer small enough trade sizes that it's possible to trade with reasonable risk. Of course, that is up to the trader, as it should be.

24HourTrader replied Mar 27, 2010Well the main one is the "Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000." This allowed for the unregulated derivative mess that caused the financial crisis. He once stated that there were no "reference points for particular assets", in regards to the ...

24HourTrader replied Mar 27, 2010Jade has a great letter as well. I'll be happy to sign both...and we can all work together to spread them as far as possible. One thing I would consider adding is a short list of bullet points of Gensler's blunders, such as with his unregulated ...

24HourTrader replied Mar 27, 2010This petition is a very interesting idea...I think the question is whether we would want to do it before or after we get their answer on the proposal... Maybe we should start it now and have it "in the ready", and make Gensler et al. aware of its ...

24HourTrader replied Mar 25, 2010I think if you read the FIA paper I linked to you may change your mind. I believe there's a good chance a conspiracy is at work within the CFTC, but I'm not so convinced that the other agencies are involved in this particular one. Of course, as you ...

24HourTrader replied Mar 25, 2010WOW, I was very pleased with the NFA response, but this one has me EXTREMELY PLEASED. I am not overly familiar with the FIA, but this response of theirs is incredibly well written and persuasive. The FIA, being the Futures Industry Association, is ...
