Aren't your candles color coded based upon TRIX? If so, you may not have the actual indicator on the chart, but you are using it because it is coloring your candles.

You and me were (are) on the exact same page! I agree with you. But Frankenpip offers a totally different approach. I just don't know what Edge is trying to teach. But just to be clear, this whole discussion came out of a recommendation from me ...

The fact that the discretion in the method does not relate to making a judgement about PA. That the discretion relates to where price is relative to other market forces, i.e. S/R, daily ranges, etc. This simplifies things immensely. I had been ...

I have come to believe that understanding PA, as you describe in that post, is the key to success in Forex. But this is a real challenge to learn, something that is elusive to most people. And it is why I had landed in this thread to begin with. C4 ...

Now that is what I was looking for! And I am not being sarcastic! All this time I had been assuming that there were aspects of PA that should influence the decision to take a signal or not. And actually, I had been trying to do that and it did help ...

You know, I love that you said this. It's so important to take a step back, especially after a few pages of heated debate, to acknowledge that we should all be here for the same reason. Getting the answers or clarification on some of these issues is ...

I agree. From the first page of the thread at the end of the C4 section: "How you choose to trade is personal decision YOU have to make. It is up to you to decide when to 'hit the ignitor' and enter a trade. This is not 100% mechanical and there is ...

I'm not sure that I understand your point here. But it really doesn't matter. Either the system can be traded mechanically or it can't. The only one qualified to answer that question is the one who has traded it for a long time, and since this ...

I have read his book, more than once. I have also read his other book, "The Disciplined Trader". So I do understand the mental aspects of trading as outlined by Mr. Douglas. But there is clearly confusion here. Some regard C4 as a purely mechanical ...

Frankenpip, I am very happy that you responded the way that you did. Because I think the main issue that you discuss is a bit murky at the moment. Edge has stated repeatedly that this system is "25% Mechanical, 75% Mental" I originally interpreted ...

4xStar, Generally, I agree with your comment about demo vs. live account. I used to be in your camp. But for this exercise, if you take every signal as suggested you will definitely lose money. The trader will definitely have to make a commitment to ...

Thanks. All that I can say at this point is that it is hard to believe how difficult it can be to capture a lousy 5 pips! I really had to work for those 25 pips I made. Hopefully this will become more intuitive as time goes on. And regarding earlier ...

I'll give my opinion: There has been tons of discussion in the thread about how this trading method is "25% Mechanical, 75% Mental (discretionary)". So the answer is "NO". It amazes me that there is still discussion about it. And it amazes me even ...
