That's where the discretion, common sense and basic price action knowledge comes in. Basically, if you're not a noob or a Indie addict, applying a 5 pip TP strategy means that if you have a losing streak, then you are unable to identify short term ...

There seem to be many posters on this thread that are fixated on black & white rules, seemingly believing that this is what TK5 was offering at the beginning. This is not the case, TK5 showed us how he sets his charts up to make what he considers ...

Shift is one of the parameters in the settings for the MA in MT4 and opening inside means a second HA candle opening on the same side as the trigger candle closes.

Nice work Clipi, would you mind telling us which 4 trades these were please. I've looked back across today and can see some winners, but would be interested to see if you picked the same as me or there were others I hadn't spotted. Thanks

Santos I think you are barking up the wrong tree, many of us taking part in this thread understand both the specific rules to operate this strategy and also what common sense filters are required to make it work. If it's not for you, fair enough, ...

Sure, I fully understand, what I meant was that your trades are taken at all times of the day, but my day job prevents me from being at an MT4 screen for the whole of London and most of NY

Santos, give us a clue mate, what pair is it? It's impossible to answer your question without knowing the pair and checking our own analysis? Albeit from what I can see, I'd say the shadow of the trigger candle is too long and for my own trading ...

I second every word of safhammer's post. Any strategy requires some common sense and discretion, if a trader could be consistently successful with a black and white set of rules operated without any knowledge or skill (the elusive Holy Grail newbs ...

Assuming I have understood TK5's method correctly you open a trade at the START of the third green HA candle in frame 5. The basis of the strategy was to wait for a HA candle to close over the 5EMA then enter when the next candle OPENS clear of the ...

Lets not let this thread degenerate in the way many do, so far it's very good. I suspect with hindsight that TK5 may have been able to choose a more appropriate category than "Rookie Talk". Us more experienced traders may not frequent this category ...

It seems to me that this thread is falling to the FF curse. The OP offers what certainly seems to be a viable robust method for us all to share and makes himself available to answer questions and give guidance, but most posts seem to be about ...

TK5, With the kind of strike rate this generates I can see how this would work in the long run, but I anticipate a few concerned posts about a perceived negative R:R !

Thanks for this, I found I actually have an old Cap Spreads live account, so have given it a try, but unless three's a setting I've missed, the EMA can't be shifted? Cheers

If I let my emotions run away with themselves, I could get very excited about this 5 pip method. Unfortunately I.T. restrictions prevent me access an MT4 platform at work, so I have to use a spreadbet broker's web based platform that doesn't have ...

Yes, I am in the UK and have spreadbet accounts with IG & ETX, but only use them for playing around with from work, where I can't access my MT4 account. HA, is very different from basic Jap candles, so if you want to follow TK5's strategy, you would ...
