I agree that MM and Psychology are more important than math skills but I don't think the various components can be broken down to exact quantites for all traders. We are all different. Also some value FA more than TA and vice versa.

On my daily chart 10/8/98 for USDJPY it shows Open 121.70 High 123.10 Low 115.67 Close 119.82 Maybe it was a another day or symbol?

I am also not so sure why GBPUSD would be important to the USA as much as USDJPY, EURUSD and Renminbi/Dollar rates?

Not use lagging indicators, then why buy pullbacks to MA's? MA's no matter the finetuning are about the most lagging of all lagging indicators. I shake my head when somebody uses a 200 or I have even seen a 365 period moving average. I guess you ...

15 pips is better than a loser of any size, but it hardly seem worth turning the pc on for. But I also understand everyone is not the same when it comes to trade size, profit expectations and time alloted to trade.

500pm on fridays come early when you trade forex because like they say it is 500pm somewhere in the world and markets are dead after Europe closes. Good thing.

Is that a linear regression channel? Otherwise I don't know whether that is a "true" channel or just two trendlines (the blue ones)?

Fed favorite inflation gauge - the Core-PCE Deflator was 0.1% or 2.2% on year over year basis. Nothing to get excited about.

We are only 2 pips apart. Mine shows 1.9650. But I can get data down to the tick or minute back at least 2 years for currencies and back decades for equities and some futures.

I think the preferable date to use is April 3 '06 since the move away from this point is impulsive. But the further back you look the longer the timeframe you would trading.
