You can draw a line on a chart at any point and it will be there before the price gets there. Does that make it leading. Nothing leads price. I can't believe this simple idea is so hard to grasp. Traders use all kinds of indicators to gain a higher ...
Why exactly do EMA crossover systems not work?

I was going to post another negative schmuch response.
But instead will say that post#2 by FXEZ should be copied into every MA thread here in FF. And I second what Craig in post#7 said .. "They don't work because past averages have nothing to do ...Why exactly do EMA crossover systems not work?

Yes true it wasn't a spike in that it tumbled down over a few hours. Better way to put it was a very long candle wick on a Hammer. My main point was very little time was spent at the bottom. Market went down to 1.9480 and "turned on a dime" based on ...

1.9480 was not important support. A spike low (on 1/31/07) if that is what some are referring to, is not important. "Important" Support or Resistance is when a lot of volume and or time is contained within a narrow band. A wide zone of 1.9450 down ...

1.9480 was great support. Huh, I wouldn't call a spike down bottom, great support. And why is 1.9430 the next support??? I'd say todays low 1.9454 down to Jan 5th low 1.9260 is a wide support zone and I would think right now that bottom end of this ...

Not my words, it's from DailyFX: GBPUSD - Our focus remains for a test of 1.9307, which is where the decline from 1.9750 would equal the 1.9915-1.9482 decline. The decline below last week?s low at 1.9482 bolsters the bearish case as does the break ...

You forgot to put IMO humbly or otherwise. I'd suggest you do a little more reading than just the people who criticize Friedman. A good starting point might be Wikipedia. But I can see your opinion is already made and so is mine. But that is what it ...

I was only meaning we were in the area of daily trendline. I never look for an exact to the pip (or even within 10-15 pips for that matter) reaction. More important is the reaction to the reaction. Is there follow through movement. I.E. 1) Daily bar ...

Do I detect a note of sarcasm? I notice that the bottom on March 1985 was widest range bar on the chart and it engulfed previous 3 months as well as traded into the range of the prior 3 months. As sure a sign a bottom was put in.
