Ah ok, that's what threw me off when you mentioned just 4 touches. Thanks for clarifying.

It took a while but the breakdown finally came into play, currently +120. Did you ever go short?

I'm not seeing a TL on the daily chart with 4 touches, the last at 4500. What are your TL connection dates?

Right. The default MACD is not showing you the correct histogram. Good luck in your trading!

The red lines you added appear to identify the fast/slow crosses, which technically are identical in both MACDs. Keep in mind, the blue MA line on the true MACD is exactly the same as the green histogram on the default MACD. When the red & blue MAs ...

I disagree. The criticisms are warranted, it is not just visual, the histograms are different. If you're using a system/EA that relies upon the MACD histogram (which I do), the default MT4 MACD indicator is of no use.

Slightly offtopic, but I've found that the NorthFinance mobile MT4 takes forever to login (30-45 seconds minimum). The other mobile MT4 demos login right away.

It's much more than that. The default MT4 MACD indicator lacks the fast signal line (instead of showing the fast signal line, it gives you a histogram of it). This is basically excluding half of the indicator itself, and you can no longer see the ...

Here you go. It's not just the looks, the MT4 default MACD indicator actually calculates it differently/incorrectly.

I wouldn't fret it. There are many on here who manage accounts, are CTAs, or otherwise. You're not actually pitching or selling anything, nor do any of your posts violate any rules. I think you're jumping to conclusions. The mods would certainly ...

I went short on UJ after it completed a headfake upside break on the pennant and reversed at the monthly pivot. AJ was a better target short though, that pair just flies..

We got that break of the pennant, stopped at the monthly pivot, and now the retrace back inside. I took a short at pennant re-entry at 107.67, we'll see how this plays out.

fwiw, we hit that overhead resistance line on the pennant to the pip and turned back. I think we'll see a headfake break to the topside as well to stop out all the fresh shorts. Look to get short on that retrace.

I have the same feeling, but counter-trend trading is dangerous. Just look at EURUSD, judging by the other threads, that ensnared more than a few counter-trenders hoping for a bottom at 1.4500..
