Aad, thanks. Shefa, delete the full stop that appears at the front of the link in the address bar.

Just signing up. Do not know the pros and cons of trading room but it seems like a good idea on your part. To me there are two parts to what Peter has provided. One is the "dibs" which in it self is not that new in that this type of chart pattern is ...

Nobody wants to do that they just want clarification. Unfortunately many well intended post just add to the confusion, especially when people post links without looking at what they contain. The wiki link is an example. It gives the stock exchange ...

With Tokyo opening at 00.00GMT I'm not sure what you could gain by starting the day at 04.00GMT. With London opening at 08.00GMT and Tokyo closing one hour later, the lead up to these times would seem relevant.

IMHO Peter has it curve fitted a lot tighter than we are able to from the info provided. He did as much as say so and I believe his way was to leave hints here and there (all over the place really). Whilst it would be fair to criticise any posts ...

Hi Dave, yes you are right in what you say, as are other who have replied. However Peter also said that it was possible to know what the daily trend was likely to be. To that end I've been wanting to see which Countries sessions start between ...

I'm realising that part of my confusion stems from some posters giving the FX session times for various Countries as being the same as the Countries respective stock market hours. So I assume this must be common. However this must vary from one ...

This is what I'm doing now, but than you, also mrgreen and others that took an interest. My difficulty was not so much with the conversion, but with knowing the various session hours to convert from and also what time zones people were using that ...

There is something in that. I had to stop drinking in order to give up smoking. But there is light at the end of the tunnel, when you drink without smoking you find most of the hangover came from the smokes and not the grog!

Yes I am, but part of the confusion is from info posted here. I have been assured on FF that Frankfurt opens an hour earlier than London, and most info I have come across for the Sydney hours (including the home page here on FF and the Oanda link ...

Bemac, thank you for your contributions to date and in particular for starting the "Coffee Club" thread. However I find the above site unhelpful. It shows the UK and Euro sessions starting at the same time and makes a total cockup of the Sydney ...

Yes and take what the market will offer with a tight stop on the 1st half of the trade. I'm just pointing out that you do not need to move the stop on the 2nd half of the trade to reach a risk free trade. As I understand it the idea is to widen the ...

That in a way was what I thought Peter was doing. I'm sure he gave an example where he sold half at 1:1 R/R leaving him the second half in the market at no cost, without having moved it's stop.

You sure it's not the close of the 0500 GMT candle, as Peter did say the day starts at 0600 GMT? By the way I assume Europe was opening at 0600 GMT, which is now 0700 GMT with DST. Thank you for your contributions to this thread, please do not be ...

Leigh thanks for the good news. Whilst I still have much to learn from fti's existing posts, it seems to me that this can be a fairly stressful way of trading. Now that fti is trading from home this could be even more so. eg - His own money. - No ...

Must be very difficult with the language thing. I find it hard enough sometime being from a different country that uses the same language. Especially the way times are expressed. I guess if they are in the US on a US forum that's fair enough, they ...
