I added emphasis to "try", since it won't be easy entering at the same level on both platforms, given the average spreads in MT4. Tell that to all of the professional traders who use EBS, Currenex, Lava, HotSpot, eSpeed, FXall, IB, Duka, TDFX, etc.

~$40 for 1mio. GBP/USD. $20 per USD $1mio traded. The US division of HotSpotFX is the only ECN broker that I'm aware of that charges the same amount regardless of base currency ($30 per 1mio. bcu = ~$15 for 1mio. GBP/USD).

That's only for stocks, not for forex. The overnight interest rates are actually very competitive.

Awesome
Actually, the DailyFX guy was stopped out at 106.86 last week, which probably means this will rally straight to 112 without looking back.

Nice charts. On the monthly, you might want to pick up the significant rising trendline off of the 4/1995 low (connecting at 1/2005). We had a break through this trendline back in mid-Jan and have yet to close back above it.

Yet further proof that one has to be insane to trade with a dealing desk broker. I sincerely hope the CFTC steps in and shuts them all down (those under its jurisdiction). ECNs and FX futures, what more do you need?

It has more to do with securities regulation than taxation. If taxation were the sole reason, why would US citizens be allowed to open overseas FX trading accounts? It's not like FX gains are reported..

How much leverage do they allow in the contest? FX Solutions offers up to 300 or 400:1 (which is ludicrous..), but if that's allowed in the contest, then this is simple odds. With thousands of entrants, most of whom are probably using full leverage ...

UJ fought long and hard to reclaim the '95 trendline yesterday, unless it breaks above, it still favors the Mad Max scenario.
CJ smacked right into the resistance line drawn off the 125 and 116 highs. It'll break it, but I like it on weakness in ...CAD/JPY

Interesting.. So any limit order placed into their system within 10 pips of the market can't be edited or canceled? I take it this is perhaps to help reduce bandwidth and/or deter multi-ECN scalpers/arb'ers, but I would find it very difficult ...

You might want to send a PM to Twee, he runs the show now. This thread and the Viking Trader thread are probably walking a fine line on the no-advertising rule, but as long as your intention is strictly to inform (and not to solicit), then I imagine ...

Justin, Is there any chance MBT/EFX could lower their commissions to be more competitive with IB, Dukascopy, and HotSpot? What about offering a second tier of service maybe for minimum order sizes of $100k and above?

BostonForex, Why no mention of this on GAIN's website? I see you mentioned this back in Dec, but not a peep out of you or them since about it. Why the delay? RCG/TradeView already has the leg up, and FXCM is right behind them.

500:1? I hope anyone attempting to use any leverage beyond 1:1 has a strong grounding in mathematics. At 500:1, a 0.2% move against you results in a 100% loss of account equity, i.e. total blowup. A 0.2% move in EUR/USD is 29 pips. Heck, a 1 pip ...
