Unfortunately no. This is why I avoid MT4 feeds with the dreaded Sunday candle. Not only does it play havoc with these pivots, but it also throws off every calculation on the daily chart (6 candles per week means all MAs and indicators are wrong, ...

That sounds like over-leveraging and curve-fitting to me.. Be careful on curve-fitting when running backtests. I'll agree this system backtests suspiciously well on recent EURJPY data, but try to backtest it any further back (<'07) or on any other ...

MT4 suffers from the same exact problem. The trick is to always place the lines on the lower timeframes (hourly, etc) instead of the higher timeframes (daily). Then when you adjust higher, everything is fine. If you place lines on the daily in MT4 ...

The problem with this type of question is survivorship bias. You won't be hearing from the thousands (millions?) who attempted full-time trading and lost everything. You're only going to hear from those who are long-term successful (<5%), or ...

CAD cut was twice as much as expected. EURUSD went up when dovish Fed comments hinted at further interest rate cuts in the future.
AUDUSD went down????

In a nutshell, it was priced in. Classic buy the rumor, sell the news. Also, dovish comments from the RBA didn't help at all. That was the biggest kicker.

Here's the indicator I use alongside Habeeb's. It lets you adjust other options: timezone offset (GMTshift), mid-pivots, etc. The only thing it lacks are weeklies and monthlies. Habeeb, this is the indicator that I tried unsuccessfully to merge with ...

It probably has to do with the weekend gap down on GJ, the 17:00 open was the high, so if your broker missed it, then your DP for today is off. My ECN shows a DP of 204.96 like you're showing. One of my MT4 demos is off for the reason above (showing ...

GMT+2 is correct for pivot calculation. All of my MT4 demos (including North Finance) are on GMT+2. As long as 00:00 on MT4 corresponds to 17:00 EST, it's calculating the pivots correctly. edit - NF has the dreaded Sunday candle.. Make sure you have ...

I would also stick to daily strategies. 16:00 - 20:00 EST puts me to sleep most days (rare occasions like today notwithstanding). The volume is very low, making the moves whippy and not very meaningful (lots of false breaks, runs on important stop ...

Hi Habeeb, Mid-pivots are just simply halfway between the standard pivots (halfway between the daily and the R1/S1, halfway between S1 & S2, etc). Here's a pic of the euro today, support being found at the daily/S1 mid-pivot.
