nvwine replied Mar 26, 2007My mind is on holiday so I can't figure it out but I think you are wrong. In the California Super Lotto the odds of picking 5 correctly out of 47 numbers is 1,592,937 to 1. My logic is based on this web site.

nvwine replied Mar 26, 2007If it is like a fair coin being flipped I think there is always a 50% chance regardless of the prior results. So you have a 100 change on the first half of the double and 50% on the second.
