Sorry for not replying earlier, also I have a typo in my last post the 3 sma is on the hi lo /2 not on the close. I tend not to use the 4H because I can not set the start of the 4H bars to match what most have on FF. image

What about Waterflame's "3 ema cross of an 34 sma? Part of a different method I know, however it's still a gem. Please do not think of this as trading an ma crossover, although I can see why some would and the idea may not be tolerated on Jacko's ...

As far as I can tell today's IB on G/U was at 03:00GMT and was well and truly broken on the 04:00GMT bar. Trailing stops on the free trades are according to a 20 MA on the daily chart. I would normally have the problem you described, what helps me ...
