abokwaik replied Jul 17, 2016True. Thats why we forward test /enhance before committing real money on the system, bearing in mind that after all, we may end up with a false call.

abokwaik replied Jul 16, 2016Thank you cj. But there would be no added value in running the same test as thodie. I suggest these options for you: 1. Running a different set file. 2. Running thodie's set on different pair(s). 3. Wait for v6 to forward test this week.

abokwaik replied Jul 15, 2016Right thodie, I forgot to include that in v5. I will surely have it in v6.

abokwaik replied Jul 15, 2016ATR levels, See post # 274. The EA wont say no. The EA doesn't care. You can achieve the same by setting "close on reversal" to false, and "hedging| to true.

abokwaik replied Jul 15, 2016Sharing the system's source code: There were many requests directly on this thread or through private messages for sharing the mq4 source of the system. The 2 main reasons that stop me from doing that are: Bad experience on previously shared source ...

abokwaik replied Jul 15, 2016Yes indeed. I saw it reach 75% return yesterday ( in 2 days). A better profit protecting method should be used. Anyway, TE is in its 3rd day which is a too short period to judge, and thodie is using a high leverage, but as he said, this is what ...

abokwaik replied Jul 15, 2016My idea was to trade a pair based on related 12 pairs. I didnt define entry/exit rules yet. Sure, waiting for all pairs to line up would be late specially on short tfs. Different alternatives need to be tested.

abokwaik replied Jul 14, 2016My previous post was actually a strength meter. If all GX are up and all XJ are up, G is the strongest and J is the weakest.

abokwaik replied Jul 14, 2016GBPUSD + USDJPY = GBPJPY right. Also ... GBPAUD + AUDJPY = GBPJPY GBPNZD + NZDJPY = GBPJPY GBPCAD + CADJPY = GBPJPY GBPCHF + CHFJPY = GBPJPY GBPEUR + EURJPY = GBPJPY so why trade GBPJPY by looking at only 2 pairs , while we can trade it based on 12 ...

abokwaik replied Jul 14, 2016I see TE closed @49% daily return ! In real life I would call it a day, a week or even a month , pack my bags and go on vacation.

abokwaik replied Jul 14, 2016I don't know about you guys, but I would never trade such a system on M1, with max order enabled. Transaction cost on M1 can kill best systems. so be aware. Even M5 is dangerous imho. The minimum I can think of is M15 as an entry tf.

abokwaik replied Jul 14, 2016Balance is better for Pyramiding, Equity is better for Averaging option. Variable lot size is suitable for testing. In real life I prefer fixed lot size, which can be manually increased when balance (with no open orders) reach certain level(s).
