EBS is the biggest only due to historical reasons. Their technology is ancient (reuters is even worse). They have 3 servers (NY, London, Tokio) with weird routing logic in between them. Thats also the reason why they never really had real streaming ...

So EBS is not good enough, and the usual ECNs aren't either. That leaves you with only single bank platforms - but wouldn't you agree, that when frequently trading really large size, anonymous trading would be the better option? (I'm sure a bank ...

They are in trouble. See url url and other headlines they made in the last few days. Fitch cut their creditrating to junk.

I have asked support, and they say they cannot publish roll rates in advance since they are determined by prevailing marketrates during rollover by the prime broker(in LMaxTraders case JPMorgan). IMO they should at least publish yesterdays rates - ...

You can with lmax as well, since, hedging or not, the outcome is the same. Do your sequence of trades with a hedging broker and with lmax. PnL will be the same, even if positions display will differ.

This is no design flaw. When i buy 1 and then sell 1 i am flat - everything else is bullshit. Its the way it works on every exchange(futures, stocks, what have you), except some MT4 niche players.

They recently delisted all fixed income products - probably not due to overwhelming success. I have to say their index and commodity products arent really competitive either - the spreads are just too high, books are very thin. FX is still very ...

If you enter orders a lot the webplatform is indeed a bit tiresome. I guess it shows that software devs are no traders. Then again most other brokers platforms suck in this department too. IMO currenex has it just right. I can specify a price and ...

Apparently existing license holders are out of luck, i have asked both Multicharts as well as LMax. The $60 are cheaper than the regular $100, granted, but paying 2x for the same software sucks. I'm not sure why they do it this way, if Multicharts ...

The stop-order for entry may have not yet made it into the api - that was not available in the web-platform for some time either. A stoploss order that is attached to an existing position is possible through the api right now tho.

I see. So they are indeed buying a license. Will be interesting if they choose to go with MT5 or MT4.

But you will not have lmax data on MT4. You can connect to i.e. Oanda and execute trades on LMax. And its a third party product. LMax would have to buy a MT4 license for proper integration, and i have not read anything about that. However, they said ...

This sounds fubar without a marketdepth display, which MT4 lacks. If i want to trade 100K i cannot tell if the quotes displayed are good for 1K or 1 Mil. I might get 1K for the displayed price, and 99K a few pips worse. Impossible to tell with this.
