EventsTrader replied Dec 19, 2019As expected. Volume in CME's CL contract came down and it's looking like liquidity has fleed the markets until after the holidays. image

EventsTrader replied Dec 18, 2019Very good point and probably why these forecasts are all sticking close to that $55 level.

EventsTrader replied Dec 18, 2019Hi Boo15! This chart is from TradeStation. To get volume from the CME you'd have to find a platform that offers you to subscribe to the data through them. TradeStation has always been my #1 choice.

EventsTrader replied Dec 18, 2019Surprisingly, volume ticked up and it was an average day as far as volume does in CME's CL. A lot of that probably had to do with the EIA inventories data. image Here's the spike in volume surrounding the EIA release: image

EventsTrader replied Dec 17, 2019Since I'm out of the market until the new year I wanted to at least bring something useful to this thread. I found this table interesting. Most economists (surveyed by BB) are bearish on WTI/Brent through Q3 next year. Check it out. image

EventsTrader replied Dec 17, 2019I was checking in on BB's forecast through 2020 and was very surprised to see NatGas is projected to appreciate through up until the end of Q1, then fall back to where it is now by the end of Q3. Not many bulls as far as NatGas goes. image

EventsTrader replied Dec 17, 2019Yup. A pretty big build in crude inventories: url WTI is taking quite a hit. Let's see if we get continuation. Usually we have some on a surprise number like this. image

EventsTrader replied Dec 17, 2019Welcome back Mr. Metal! Why do you think gold must go down? There's still quite a bit of uncertainty after Phase 1 of the US-China trade deal. Brexit is coming as well. Gold doesn't look as attractive as it once did earlier in the year, but it's ...

EventsTrader replied Dec 17, 2019Interesting graph. Exports to Mexico are almost certain to continue to grow. I'm not sure about the LNG Export demand. Even if the demand is there, the US is sure to satisfy domestic demand with Natty Gas. The growth in export demand is greater than ...

EventsTrader replied Dec 17, 2019Last week there was a surprise build in both API and EIA data. The week prior there was a much bigger than expected draw. I'm not sure what to expect but with volume as low as it's been. I'm probably on the sidelines until after the new year.

EventsTrader replied Dec 16, 2019Monday's volume suggests liquidity may be drying up ahead of the holidays. If this continues, it's probably smart to be extremely cautious until the new year. We'll get a better understanding when there are some more significant data releases. The ...

EventsTrader replied Dec 16, 2019It seems like Palladium might be benefiting from more industrial demand along with it's scarcity. It's actually not as scarce as some think, it's just one of the hardest metals to extract. It's very difficult to produce.
