you mean upper line of the rising channel since May06, right? well, if we do get a bounce off that line we are looking at 800 pips to reach the bottom of that rising channel.

I think extraordinary cuts - ie outside the scheduled monthly meetings/rate decisions - are still highly unlikely. Already today's 0.5 cut could be called unmeasured and I don't BoE and ECB will react in that way or worse.

well, one could also detect a rising wedge (upper line from Aug26 high to last Friday) which means down... but then it's all in the eye of the beholder and nobody knows what's gonna happen anyway
