moneybags replied Jul 25, 2008Hey, IMO this isnt close to being a A+ trade. On a side note, the 1H charts are very tricky. For newer traders they can be deadly (in a bad way
). I recommend staying away from them. Back to this trade, there's no real confirmation to take it. ...james16 Chart Thread

moneybags replied Jul 11, 2008Good post Seeking. Just like all PA, I believe the location is the most important part. Not just the actual PA formation. You can find Inside bars and Pin bars all the time. But if price has been going sideways and/or there's lots of traffic around, ...

moneybags replied Jun 17, 2008Hey Magnumfreak, Thanks for taking the time with this. But unfortunately it's still selecting all bars regardless of time chosen. Any idea on how to correct that? Thanks again Tom

moneybags replied Jun 11, 2008Hey Caesar, Just to give my view on this, IMO entering on 5M PA is pretty risky. If you're just starting out with PA, I wouldn't go lower than Daily, maybe 4H TF at the most. This trade may work out because that Daily pin is pretty good looking.

moneybags replied May 15, 2008This chart got me thinking yesterday. At which point do you guys think moving the stop to B/E is best? Because if you notice in this chart, the bar around 9:00 on the 13th (the pin) looks like it would have taken you out at B/E if the stop had been ...

moneybags replied May 8, 2008Those EMAs can be used as support or resistance points. Put them on your charts and go back to see how price reacts when it approaches those MAs. Many times it will be rejected. Tom EDIT: Mike W beat me to it.....

moneybags replied May 2, 2008One thing I want to point out, is that it is Friday afternoon (after NFP as well) so I'm not too confident with some of these setups we're seeing. Profit taking, low liquidity later in the day and the weekend coming up can all impact trades. But WTF ...

moneybags replied May 2, 2008This is a very important point that most people new to PA (or old
) need to have at the top of their list. And to add to this, the previous bar in this case was a pinbar pointing in the opposite direction. That shows a bit of indecision there. I ...james16 Chart Thread

moneybags replied Apr 18, 2008Hi Lacika, IMO the 2nd fib you drew (from Mar 17) is not really valid. That's not really a retracement. I would draw a 2nd fib from the top of the pin on Mar 27th. That's just the way I see it. Tom

moneybags replied Apr 16, 2008I agree with the points Mike said. I looked at this pin but passed. The other factor in my decision is that I had a PPZ around the 92.70 area. So I figured it would break the weekly pin and probably stall around there. If it clearly broke that area ...

moneybags replied Apr 15, 2008Anytime TJ. There is no indicator for PPZ drawing on MT4 that I know of. (but I wouldnt know for sure) Most of the people do it by hand. With a little practice it's not hard to spot them. The good ones jump out.
