I've spent years studying 1 minute historical charts using esignal, but I would never have figured this out if I didn't come across this thread. Unfortunately no charting service I know of provides 5 sec historical charts so the only way to study ...

I've been looking at US stocks that I can apply this too during the NY open but no trades today.

I been looking back at previous weeks data and noticed the same thing....a higher sucess rate at the London open. I can't seen to find similar pattern though on the New York and Japan open.

Yesterday when the official bank rate was announced for the GBP, the spread was 20 pips for a good 30 seconds

Maybe I don't understand what you're trying to say but I don't think the extra digit translates into 10x the profits. for example: 1.644 is 4 digits 1.6443 is 5 digits so I'm really only making an extra 3 pips more than you. Since the 5th digit ...

If you click on the picutre of the charts, they will enlarge and you will be able to easily see size of the candle stick.
