Coolkaps, I wouldn't buy CHF now if you expect the rate to go to 1.3. Wait till it hits your target then convert. But that assumes you need CHF eventually. If not, go spend your EUR on something else!

I laugh when people say the snb won't let retail traders make money on this pair. Retail traders are a pimple on the butt of the forex market. The snb wants to protect the 1.20 level. If it means intervening and giving retail traders 100 pips profit ...

Oanda does not have a dealing desk. There is a good post in one of the forums which explains how brokers like Oanda work. I will see if I can find it for you.

Fidza, I think you are a bit mixed up... Oanda is taking the other side of their client's trade - yes - but if you go LONG, that means Oanda has taken a SHORT against you and therefore they must go LONG in the real market to hedge this position. ...
