I agree with what you're saying, but also you have to agree, it's easy for Oanda to squeeze .5 pips or more on each trade. I think what the OP was saying was, FXCM is now offering lower spreads on that pair. To me, the "dynamic spread" Oanda is ...

Agree... what our (my) country has deemed "too big to fail" is actual, "they contribute so much money to politicians" we can't let them fail.

Yes, this is called "dynamic spreads" it's supposed to the "SO GOOD FOR OUR TRADERS" (FROM OANDA). Basically they are fcking everyone over with high "dynamic" spreads.

I'm glad more people are finally seeing this. I was wondering if it was just me. Dynamic spreads are ok, if your spread is .3 to .8. Oanda saying their dynamic spreads are good for "us" is bullshit. Now I constantly watch the spread, and even when I ...

I just got the email too. I've been trading with Oanda for over 6 years and I've never seen this done before. On the FF calendar, Greek elections are on the 17th, it looks like Oanda is expecting a really wild ride.

When I first started forex trading (5 years ago), I was on EST, just moved to PST 3 months ago, and it's brutal. Hang in there and good luck.

I couldn't agree more with this post. My strategy is to get 10-20 pips, but it's very deflating to take the 10, and then see price run another 50 pips. So then I want to hold them longer, but that doesn't work because now I get stopped out more. I'm ...

Yes, I understand that. Just didn't understand that slam against someone else going short at that time. No reason to get offensive, just trying to understand why you would say that, and then close your long. I actually like this thread (again), ...
