24HourTrader replied Aug 31, 2010Well, I think its good that people got riled up over it. This is unacceptable bureaucracy invading our personal affairs. As for why they decided on 50:1, I think it was a combination of things. For example, the CFTC came under pressure from some ...

24HourTrader replied Aug 31, 2010If it wasn't for all of that "scaremongering and shouting", we would have almost certainly ended up with their proposed 10:1 cap. So you are 100% wrong it you think all of the comments etc. were for nothing.

24HourTrader replied Aug 4, 2010Naturally...I don't think anybody thought retail OTC forex would vanish, it was more a concern with what kind of nonsensical regulations they were going to slap retail traders with in order to allow them to trade. But if the MBT guy is correct, it ...

24HourTrader replied Aug 4, 2010Maybe they don't know about it...it was buried in that ridiculous 2300 page document. The threat seems credible enough, and was quite clear about banning OTC forex transactions, barring some kind of regulation...and who knows what that regulation ...
